Our PI, professor Arend M. van der Zande, has been named to 2019 Highly Cited Researchers list, a global listing of scientists who produced the past decade’s most influential papers, compiled by the Web of Science group, a Clarivate Analytics company.

Since the spring semester was over, van der Zande group got the group party with escape room. Although most of the members had not experienced the escape room, we successfully solve the problems to save the world!
We taught the mechanical design class this semester, ME370. We created a new class project where students have to build walking robots. At the end of the semester, they had to have a race out on Bardeen quad. Check out the results!

We helped PlanarTECH design the MOCVD system so that we can simultaneously test growth of new experimental 2D materials, vary the chemistry during growth to produce alloys and heterostructures, and reliably grow wafer scale monolayers.
